【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesforthefollowingmeasurementsandevaluations:Movementcapacityoftheperimeterfirebarrier.Loadbearingcapacityoftheperimeterjointprotectionisoptional.Abilityoftheperimeterfirebarriertoresistthepassageofflamesandhotgases.Transmissionofheatthroughtheperimeterfirebarrier.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovidethefollowing:Evaluationofthedegreetowhichtheperimeterfirebarriercontributestothefirehazardbygenerationofsmoke,toxicgases,orotherproductsofcombustion,Measurementofthedegreeofcontrolorlimitationofthepassageofsmokeorproductsofcombustionthroughtheperimeterfirebarrier,Note18212;Thistestmethoddoesnotmeasurethequantityofsmokeorhotgasesthroughthefloorassembly,thewallassembly,ortheperimeterjointprotection.Measurementofflamespreadoverthesurfaceoftheperimeterfirebarrier,Note28212;Theinformationin5.2.1through5.2.3aredeterminedbyothersuitablefiretestmethods.Forexample,TestMethodE84isusedtodetermine5.2.3.Durabilityofthetestspecimenunderactualserviceconditions,includingtheeffectsofcycledtemperature,Effectsofaloadonthemovementcyclingoftheperimeterfirebarrierestablishedbythistestmethod,Rotational,vertical,andhorizontalshearcapabilitiesofthetestspecimen,Anyotherattributesofthetestspecimen,suchaswearresistance,chemicalresistance,airinfiltration,water-tightness,andsoforth,andAmeasurementofthecapabilityofthetestspecimentoresist:Flamepropagationovertheexteriorfacesofthetestspecimen,Spreadofflamewithinthecombustiblecorecomponentoftheexteriorwallassemblyfromonestorytothenext,Note38212;Someexteriorwallassembliesaremadefromsandwichpanels,whichuseEPSfoamorothersimilarmaterialsthatarecombustible.Spreadofflameovertheinteriorsurface(roomside)ofthetestspecimenfromonestorytothenext,andNote48212;Whileitisafailuretohavefireontheinteriorsurfaceoftheobservationroom,thistestmethoddoesnotprovideameasurementofthatflamespread.Lateralspreadofflamefromthecompartmentoffireorigintoadjacentspaces.Note58212;Theexteriorwallassembly,floorassembly,andperimeterjointprotectionareindividualcomponents.Thecapabilitiesofindividualcomponentsarenotpartofthisspecifictestmethod''sConditionsofCompliance.Inthistestmethod,thetestspecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecifictestconditions.Whendifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedortheend-useconditionsarechanged,itisnotalwayspossibleby,orfrom,thistestmethodtopredictchangestothecharacteristicsmeasured.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeusedastheonlytestmethodintheselectionofaperimeterfirebarrier.Itisnotintendedasaspecificationforallattributesrequiredbyaperimeterfirebarrier,oranyofitsindividualcomponents,inorderforaperimeterfirebarriertobeusedinaparticularapplication.1.1Thistestmethodmeasurestheperformanceoftheperimeterfirebarrieranditsabilitytomaintainasealtopreventfirespreadduringthedeflectionanddeformationoftheexteriorwallassemblyandfloorassemblyduringthefiretest,whileresistingfireexposurefromaninteriorcompartmentfireaswellasfro......
