【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardappliestopackagesfortransportofmedicalandbiologicalspecimens,referredtointhisEuropeanStandardasspecimens,providedthat-thenominalvolumeofthespecimencontainer(s)doesnotexceed100ml;-inthecaseofmultiplespecimens,thetotalvolumeofspecimensintheprotectingcontainerdoesnotexceed500ml;-noinfectioussubstancesarepresentinthespecimenorarelativelylowprobabilityexiststhatinfectioussubstancesarepresent,e.g.medicalandbiologicalspecimenstoundergoroutinescreeningtestsorforthepurposeofinitialdiagnosis.NOTE1.'Transport'isdefinedasthemovementofspecimensoutsidethepremisesofeitherthesenderorthereceiverofthespecimen.NOTE2.TransportpackagesusedforspecimenswhichcontainorarelikelytocontaininfectioussubstancesofriskgroupⅡtoⅣasdefinedbyWHOaresubjecttotheprovisionsonthetransportofdangerousgoods.Inthiscasetheprovisionsoftheagreements[1]to[5]quotedinannexAapplyasappropriate.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytopackagesfortransportofdisinfectedmicroscopicslidesorsterilizedspecimensforpathologicalexaminations.Thepurposeofthisstandardistolaydownstandardizeddefinitions,requirementsandtestsfortransportpackagesformedicalandbiologicalspecimensinordertominimizeriskforman,animalsandtheenvironment.
