【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinesmethodsthatallowentryofcharactersbelongingtotherepertoireofsingleandmulti-octetcodingstandardssuchasISO/EEC10646inacodeindependentmannerusingakeyboardorotherinput/outputdevices.Itisalsoexpectedthatforimplementationsofdifferentcodingschemesofcharactersets,thismethodwillbeusable,providedthatthetargetcharactersetshaverepertoiresthataresubsetsoftheuniversalmultiple-octetcodedcharacterset(ISO/IEC10646)orofanyotherstandardcharacterset.Morespecifically,thisInternationalStandarddefinesfourmethods,whichcanbeimplementedindifferentscenariosaccordingtotheconformanceclause:abasicmethodforenteringacharacterwhichinvolvesusingitsbitrepresentation(canonicalorabbreviatedform)inISO/IEC10646asacatalognumber,whicheverunderlyingcodeisusedforthatcharacter;amethodforenteringstandardkeyboardsymbolsrepresentingthefunctionsusedonthekeyboard;thismethodisintendedforenteringcharacterscorrespondingtothevisualrepresentationofthekeyboardfunctionsymbols(accordingtoISO/IEC9995-7symbolsandISO/IEC10646characters),withthehelpofthefunctionkeysthemselves;ascreen-selectionentrymethodforselectingacharacterdisplayedonascreenfordataentry;afeedbackmethodthatallowsexactidentificationofcharactersshownonascreen,forsubsequentdataentry;ThisInternationalStandardisintendedtocomplementexistingnationalkeyboardlayoutsorexistinginputmethodsoptimizedfornationaluse.HenceitdoesnotreplaceanynationalkeyboardentryrequirementbutisratheratooltoeaseentryofthecompletecharacterrepertoireofISO/IEC10646withthehelpofalreadyexistingnationalkeyboards.
