【摘要】:Radiationprocessingofarticlesinbothcommercialandresearchapplicationsmaybecarriedoutforanumberofpurposes.Theseinclude,forexample,sterilizationofhealthcareproducts,reductionofthemicrobialpopulationsinfoodsandmodificationofpolymers.Theradiationsusedmaybeacceleratedelectrons,gamma-radiationfromradionuclidesourcessuchascobalt-60,orX-radiation.Todemonstratecontroloftheradiationprocess,theabsorbeddosemustbemeasuredusingadosimetrysystem,thecalibrationofwhich,istraceabletoappropriatenationalorinternationalstandards.Theradiation-inducedchangeinthedosimeterisevaluatedandrelatedtoabsorbeddosethroughcalibration.Dosemeasurementsrequiredforparticularprocessesaredescribedinotherstandardsreferencedinthispractice.1.1ThispracticedescribesthebasicrequirementsthatapplywhenmakingabsorbeddosemeasurementsinaccordancewiththeASTME10.01seriesofdosimetrystandards.Inaddition,itprovidesguidanceontheselectionofdosimetrysystemsanddirectstheusertootherstandardsthatprovidespecificinformationonindividualdosimetrysystems,calibrationmethods,uncertaintyestimationandradiationprocessingapplications.1.2Thispracticeappliestodosimetryforradiationprocessingapplicationsusingelectronsorphotons(gamma-orX-radiation).1.3Thispracticeaddressestheminimumrequirementsofameasurementmanagementsystem,butdoesnotincludegeneralqualitysystemrequirements.1.4Thispracticedoesnotaddresspersonneldosimetryormedicaldosimetry.1.5Thispracticedoesnotapplytoprimarystandarddosimetrysystems.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
